Hard Elementary Physical Education Program Reaches New Heights

BESSEMER, Ala. — The physical education program at Charles F. Hard Elementary is seeing significant growth this semester, fueled by energetic leadership and student involvement.

The program, led by the "Dynamic Duo" of Coach Anderson and Coach Jackson, has focused on increasing student engagement through a variety of new gym activities and skills-based learning. School officials credited the two coaches for their dedication and the high level of energy they bring to the gymnasium daily.

“We’ve been working hard in the gym and learning every step of the way,” administrators said.

The program's success is also being attributed to student leadership. Officials offered a special thank-you to second grader KD, described as a talented and inquisitive student who stepped up to assist the coaches during recent sessions.

“Your help made a big difference,” officials said, noting that student participation in program logistics helps foster a sense of ownership and community within the school.

The expansion of the PE program is part of a broader effort to ensure students develop healthy habits and teamwork skills. Administrators expressed excitement over the program's trajectory, stating they "love seeing our program grow stronger each day."
